Jing du lunch buffet fort myers11/29/2023 ![]() ![]() Heck, I pay that for 8 pieces at Publixs and It is prepackaged so no choices. Great value! I also noted they have takeout on the hot bar and sushi bar for separate prices with the sushi being $8 for 12 pieces. I love Todia's but there are no longer any on the east coast, this is almost as good as Tosia's at a fraction of the cost! The sushi was great, they had a cold seafood bar and nice selection of desserts that I did not try and all of this for $16 and some change after taxes but before the tip. The wait service was quick on refills and removing used dishes. My only neg observation was the won ton soup had nothing but noodles (no won tons) and it was not refilled while I was there but they were quick to refill any other items that were getting low. The Chinese part did not have a great selection but what they had was good. I had about given up finding a good Chinese resturant and forget about sushi affordable resturant in Fort Myers! Then I found Jing Du, great selection of fresh beautifully presented sushi. And, before 4pm, it was $10 each.About the price you would pay for a dragon roll at a sushi joint. Good service, brought the tea right away, took away empty plates immediately, clean, friendly. And desserts.a variety of ice creams, cheese cake, cream puffs. Honestly, I filled up on sushi, but it all looked pretty good. beef and broccoli, surimi stir fry, chicken wings, fried rice, low mein noodles, and a few others. The chinese side had bbq pork.OK, but a bit dry. Just choose your own protein and veg and they will sear it for you. On top of that they had you peel-em shrimp, and mussels, and fresh coleslaw. Very clean, very fresh, very eat variety. Nice fresh wasabi and ginger provided.and, around 25 different rolls. Two kiinds of seaweed, black and green, both excellent, but I liked the green a bit more.just my personal taste. First the Japanese.salmon and tuna sushi, both fresh, and very good. The difference is that most of it is very good. This one is predominantly Japanese, so has more of a sushi selection.but, it still had 10-12 of the typical dishes you would see at the Chinese buffet. Typical buffet, whether Chinese of Japanese. Can't ask for anything more!Īnd much to eat, and most of it very good. It had delightful food with fresh ingredients, place immaculate, service perfect. So, if you are a skeptic and pass this one by, drop in. I am excited to go back and when I told hubs I loved it, he was shocked b/c he knows how I feel about buffet restaurants. They remove plates promptly, refill water and are busy replacing items and cleaning without interfering with diners. ![]() Delicious and refreshing! Service was perfect. I did try a little bit of the Green Tea Ice Cream. I am not a big dessert eater, but was intrigued by the dessert buffet, which would please any big sugar eater. Much more I would have loved to try, but I don't eat much at one sitting, so I will sample other items next time. Also, I sampled the chicken wings, well done like they should be, ribs, chicken satay. Everything is clearly labeled, so if you aren't a raw sushi fan, no chance of getting the wrong thing. Crab Rangoon was perfectly cooked and plump with REAL crab meat, not the rubbery imitation often substituted at restaurants. One man was just eating a big plate of shrimp, nothing else, I observed. Now for the food! For $9.99 lunch I couldn't believe the size of the fresh chilled shrimp with lemons. Utensils for taking food were cleaned and replaced often. Wow! I couldn't believe it! The buffets, one Japanese, a lot of sushi, but delightful salads, a Chinese, and a dessert buffet were immaculate and have special "sneeze guards" which makes it difficult for people to touch everything. We arrived right when they opened (my request to cut down on germs). A friend of mine is a regular at the buffet restaurant, so when she suggested meeting for lunch, I reluctantly accepted because I HATE BUFFET restaurants! Haven't been to one in many years b/c my previous experiences were negative. ![]()

A misunderstanding causes our hero and heroine to initially dislike each other. Alex is pranked by some of Eliza’s friends, who send him a note, supposedly from Eliza, saying that she will meet him in the barn at midnight. In Alex and Eliza, this makes Eliza dislike the young colonel, though he becomes smitten with her. Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler first met in 1777, when he was sent to relieve her father, General Philip Schuyler, of command after the Continental Army’s loss at Saratoga. We know when they met, when they started courting, when they got engaged, and when they got married but we don’t everything that went into getting from one of these steps to another.Īlex and Eliza is heavily influenced by Pride and Prejudice, mainly in how the dynamic between its two protagonists is set up. The courtship of Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler is an example of this. History itself often gives us only the bare bones of what happened and its the job of the author to provide the details. Historical fiction is by nature, speculative. Alex and Eliza is known as the fanfic/ romance novel version of this story, as opposed to more straightforward historical fiction works like The Hamilton Affair (which I did not care for) and I, Eliza Hamilton (which I haven’t read but probably won’t, lest it give me The Hamilton Affair PTSD), and is the least historically accurate of the three. In the wake of the smash-hit musical Hamilton, a number of novels have come out telling the love story of Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler. It’s very well written and the story is a page-turner. Prime subscribers can get a Microsoft 365 Personal (Office) 12-month subscription plus a $10 Amazon Gift Card for just $49.99, usually $79.99. Yikes! And it was copy-protected!) But on the backstreets of Hong Kong, I found pirated copies of that program, complete with fancy manuals and no copy protection, for a mere $20.In the U.S. (Adjusted for inflation, that mid-1980s price tag would be well over $1200 in 2023. In those days, a copy of the most important software app of its day, Lotus 1-2-3, cost $495. Researching this story brought back one memory from the dawn of the PC era, well before Windows existed. You also get a terabyte of OneDrive storage with each subscription, which is not the case with a perpetual-license Office version. That’s where a Microsoft 365 subscription shines: It can be installed on up to 10 PCs or Macs, and if you hit the maximum number of installs it’s trivially easy to deactivate an installation so that you can use the software on a different device. If you buy a new PC or Mac, you might be able to transfer the activation, but there’s a very good chance that you won’t be able to do that. The bigger objection, as far as I’m concerned, is that these licenses are intended to be installed on one PC, for use by one person. I’ve seen multiple credible reports from people who purchased one of these product keys and then found their product deactivated just a few months later. ![]() But they can revoke those keys and have been known to do so, sometimes months after they were originally activated.Īnd that’s not just a theoretical risk. Microsoft might decide that it’s not worth cracking down on small-fry customers who bought a product in good faith. Do you feel lucky? It’s possible these products will work forever. The glass-half-empty types in the audience know that Microsoft can revoke your activation rights at any time. Trust me: You do not want to be the defendant in a civil suit with Microsoft alleging that you’re using improperly licensed software.īut on a personal PC or Mac, the risk that the Microsoft License Police will show up at your door is about as close to zero as it gets. No fancy Google fu required.) What could go wrong?Īre you the glass-half-full type? If so, you could look at my experience and say, “It’ll probably work, so what do I have to lose?” I might try to talk you out of that if you’re trying to buy software for your business, especially if you have any disgruntled former employees who might call Microsoft’s piracy hotline and rat you out. (If you’re really intent on doing this, by the way, you can track down one of these product key resellers directly, cutting out the publisher and the e-commerce intermediary and chopping the price in half. StackCommerce and their publisher partners get a generous cut of each sale, and in a media marketplace where publishers are struggling to find revenue, it’s an irresistible pitch. I’ve seen these offers on some very big sites, names you would recognize instantly. In this case, the actual seller goes by the name “nerdused,” but lately I’ve seen identical offers from a company called “Definitive Lab.”īecause the deal is offered under the imprimatur of a trusted publisher, often with a by-lined article from the publication’s “deals editor,” you’re much more likely to trust it. StackCommerce acts as a broker between well-known publishers and unknown sellers. You probably wouldn’t consider giving your credit card information to a shady-looking website, which is why this particular offer is so interesting. ![]() But the software should work as expected, and if you aren’t bothered about the technical details of license agreements then that might be all that matters to you. I repeat: If you buy one of these product keys, you don’t have a valid license, as far as Microsoft is concerned. ![]() And it would be trivially easy for an ethically challenged IT person in a large corporation to copy some unused license keys and sell them to someone who would in turn resell them on one of these e-commerce sites.) (Some Visual Studio subscriptions, for example, come with a passel of license keys intended for evaluation purposes. This outfit is selling “gray market” product keys that are harvested from a variety of sources and aren’t authorized for resale. Let’s make something clear right up front: If you pay for one of these offers, you are not buying a license. ![]() Lateral malleolus fracture picture11/28/2023 ![]() ![]() Type 2: dorsolateral to plantomedial fracture with medial forefoot displacement.
